Samplin' Journal Day 4

Today at Beatools Studio, after finishing the drum racks for Ableton Live, we completed the patches for Native Instruments Battery 4 made with this small and fairly rare Korean drum machine: the Cort CRM 260.

We've programmed two patches: one contains several of the many one-shot samples sampled from the drum machine, enhanced and optimized. The second one is a melodic synth made with a combination of the original sounds of the Little Korean Rhythm Box.

By the end of the week, we will also finish creating the Programs and the Project for the Akai MPC Live, and in a few days, the new sample pack dedicated to this incredible small but powerful drum machine will be available on the beatools.com store.

Samplin' Journal Day 3

Today at beatools.com studio we completed the Samples Pack dedicated to the Boss DR.110 with the Akai MPC Live project! The project contains 3 programs: one with the original drum sounds from the Boss drum machine, one with the enhanced drum sounds plus two layers with adjustable volumes of the spring reverb and gate reverb samples made with our hardware effects, and a program with the lo-fi synth we created using a combination of sounds from the Boss Doctor Rhythm 110 and its background noise.

Samplin' Journal Day 2

After having worked last week on programming Drum Racks for Ableton Live created with original and enhanced sounds of the vintage drum machine Boss Doctor Rhythm DR 110, we focused on creating 6 patches for Battery 4 by Native Instruments!

Samplin' Journal Day 1

Today at the Beatools studio we are programming the Drum Rack for Ableton Live with enhanced samples from the Boss DR110 analog vintage drum machine.

The Drum Rack includes the dry samples and the samples of the same sounds processed through the Sansui RA 700 analog spring reverb and the Roland D.E.P. 3 gate reverb.
