HISTORY:

The Drumtraks was released in early 1984 and was the first drum machine to offer the new MIDI universal interface sockets.

The Drumtraks featured digital sounds stored as 8-bit PCM samples on EPROM chips, the same technology used on Linn Drum and Oberheim DX units.

Used by: Warren Cann (Ultravox), Tony Levin (King Crimson), Juan Atkins, Frankie Goes To Hollywood (on the Liverpool album and also used in live performance); Front 242, Pseudo Echo (Love An Adventure album), Tangerine Dream, and Mark Shreeve.

Included 5 samples collections made with our vintage outboard efx (Dry, Mix and "Only Wet"):

SOUNDS (2160 Samples):

• Original Sounds from the Drum Machine with all 16 original pitch variations (no sofware pitch variations!): Kick, Snare, Rim Shot, Tom 1, Tom 2, Crash, Ride, HH Closed, HH Open, Claps, Tambourine, Cowbell, Cabasa. We added Crash Reverse and Ride Reverse. (240 Samples).
• Mixed and "Wet Only" Spring Reverb sounds, with all 16 original pitch variations (480 Samples).
• Mixed and "Wet Only" Long Reverb sounds, with all 16 original pitch variations (480 Samples).
• Mixed and "Wet Only" Short Reverb sounds, with all 16 original pitch variations (480 Samples).
• Mixed and "Wet Only" Short Delay sounds, with all 16 original pitch variations (480 Samples).

3. Long Reverb: all reverb's pitch variations, cutoff, reverb length, and panpot mapped in Macro.
4. Short Reverb: all reverb's pitch variations, cutoff, reverb length, and panpot mapped in Macro.
5. Short Delay: all delay's pitch variations, cutoff, reverb length, and panpot mapped in Macro.
